Key Updates for 2026 Park Rentals
  1. Project Impacts:
    • City Island: Expect detours for vehicle traffic and park users. Sunday walks/runs should start by 9 AM and MUST end by 10:30 AM.
    • Wilson Park, Seventh & Radnor, and Gorgas Park: These locations will be unavailable for rentals until officially reopened
  2. Rental Dates:
    • City Island & Riverfront Park: Rentals begin online on December 2, 2025 at 10:30am.
    • Other Parks: Rentals start online on December 14, 2025, at 8:30 AM. In-person rentals will begin on December 29, 2025, at 10 AM.
  3. Important Rental Information:
    • Requests will be processed in the order received.
    • Large rentals, walks, and runs require a $200 deposit or full payment within 10 days of approval.
    • Payment must be made via check or money order to "Harrisburg City Treasury". Payment must be delivered to our office at 100 Concert Dr Harrisburg PA, 17103.
    • The full balance must be paid within 10 days of your rental date or your event will be cancelled. Any deposits made will not be refunded.
  4. Walks and Runs:
    • Reserve Riverfront Walkpath Connecting to City Island for Walks/Runs that start/end on City Island. The Carousel Pavilion and Walnut St Bridge Plaza will be added on the back end.
    • Provide a map or details of your event via email to csegbert@harrisburgpa.gov after submitting your reservation request.
  5. Banners:
    • Request using the “Front Street Banner” facility for two-week placements starting the Monday of your choice.
  6. Recommendations:
    • Have back-up dates ready, as the portal does not allow double bookings.
    • Utilize the “Practice Pavilion” to familiarize yourself with the online reservation process.
    • Use a desktop or laptop rather than a mobile device to access the website
